What we collect
Two things: your email (so you can sign in), and the journal entries you write. That's it. No analytics scripts, no third-party trackers, no marketing pixels.
Where it lives
All data is stored in Cloudflare D1 (SQLite at the edge), encrypted at rest. Nightly automated backups go to Cloudflare R2 with the same encryption. Both are infrastructure providers — they don't read your entries.
Who else sees it
Three subprocessors, used only as needed:
- Resend — sends your magic-link sign-in emails, welcome notes, and trial reminders. Only your email address; never journal content. Resend retains transactional send logs (subject, recipient, timestamp) for roughly 90 days for deliverability and abuse protection, then ages them out. If you delete your account and want those logs purged sooner, email us and we'll file the request with Resend on your behalf.
- Stripe — handles payment when you subscribe. Email + card. Never journal content.
- Anthropic — when you click Generate on the AI Review page, we send your entries in the selected date range to Claude. Anthropic operates with zero data retention on API requests, so the content isn't stored or used for training.
What we never do
- Sell your data.
- Use your entries to train AI models.
- Read your journal. We can technically access the database for support, but we don't browse entries — and we'd rather not.
Your rights
You can export the entire archive (Markdown or JSON) anytime from Settings. You can delete your account at any time, which permanently deletes all entries from the live database. Backups age out within 90 days.
